Post from: (August 29, 2023) “Sunday we found a mass on Olivia’s stomach and gut instinct told us to take her to the ER. After a lot of test and being transported to Cook’s Children’s Hospital we were informed that it is most likely Wilms. Wilms is a rare kidney cancer that mainly affects children. She is scheduled for surgery Thursday to remove the kidney, tumors, and any affected lymph nodes and chemo and radiation will follow. It has been a very emotional few days and we know the journey ahead of us will be hard with even more emotions but Olivia Grace is the strongest 5 year old I know. Olivia is currently asymptomatic so she isn’t sick or in pain which is a win for sure. With lots of reading and talking to the oncologist and surgeon, we are very hopeful! With all that, prayers are what we need the most right now. The amount of love and support that has already been shown is amazing and we are so grateful! We will try to do our best to keep everyone updated but obviously our priority is Olivia and our family! 💗” Update: (May 31, 2024) Miss Olivia is doing amazing!!!
